FREE TIME

Something most students rave about are the evening activities and weekend excursions where students get the chance to relax, get to know their classmates, practice their Spanish, and explore Ecuador.

Weekdays:

During the week we organize cooking classes, free salsa lessons, and other mini trips, including going to the cinema to see Spanish films, visiting local museums in the new city or touring the cathedrals and culture of the old city.

Students pay the costs for these activities, which range between just US$1 and US$5 per student, per activity.

Weekends:

We love to explore and to show others this magnificent country so we provide weekend excursions (every week) to the rainforest, volcanoes, cloud forests, beach, and many more sites of outstanding beauty or interest.

We pride ourselves in finding locations away from the usual "tourist traps". In the past these trips have included, hiking in the Cotopaxi Reserve, trekking and horseback riding in the Andes and rafting in the cloud forests of Mindo.

Students pay at cost, between US$20 and US$60 per student, per excursion. The trips are typically all weekend and so hotels, food, transportation and activities are included in these prices.
